Cost-Effective and Kid-Friendly Projector Screen Idea

We used 2 sheets of plywood to cut out a TV shape. We chose to use a fullscreen view. You can choose to use widescreen, just make sure either way your ratios are correct to your size (4:3 or 16:9).

We used the screen area that we cut out to cut knobs to go on the TV. After a little paint and using 2×2’s and a 2×4 to prop it up on the stage you are almost finished. The screen is a vinyl shower curtain liner. The wrinkles are difficult to get out, but after a while most of them will straighten. We stapled it tight to the back of the TV and placed the projector behind the TV.

Below (on the left of the stage) is the finished product. If you have any questions, feel free to leave them in the comments.

  1. We are going to make the plywood televisions to go around our screens. Our builder was wondering, “It would be nice if the creators had plans, in order to view how they pieced the plywood together.”

Do you have any information that might help him? Thanks!
