Recently, I have been reading a newly released book titled, Creative Confidence. As the title alludes, the book spends time with the reader and allows them to begin building the confidence to become creative.
Creativity is one of those things that we tend to believe we either don’t have or that we are born with. The authors share that creativity, in fact, is a characteristic that anyone can learn to develop.
So far, throughout reading this book, several quotes have stuck with me. Here are some of my favorites:
“At its core, creative confidence is about believing in your ability to create change in the world around you.”
“Don’t wait for the proverbial apple to fall on your head. Go out in the world and proactively seek experiences that will spark creative thinking.”
“One prerequisite for achieving creative confidence is the belief that your innovation skills and capabilities are not set in stone.”
“Doubts in one’s creative ability can be cured by guiding people through a series of small successes. And the experience can have a powerful effect on the rest of their lives.”
“Fear of failure holds us back from learning all sorts of new skills, from taking on risks, and from tackling new challenges.”
“Courage is only the accumulation of small steps.”
“If you want more success, you have to be prepared to shrug off more failure.”
“If you want a good idea, start with a lot of ideas.”
“The more fresh new ideas cross your field of vision each day, the greater your insights will be.”
I am looking forward to finishing this book. Which quote listed, most inspires you?
